I'm the founder of KIIARA, a Toronto-based permanent makeup studio built on one belief:
Beautiful results begin with respecting the skin.
When I entered this industry over 13 years ago, I believed permanent makeup was about mastering technique.
The longer I worked, the more I realized technique alone wasn't enough.
I saw beautiful work that healed poorly.
I saw skin that had been overworked.
I met clients who had lost trust in permanent makeup because of experiences that should never have happened.
Those experiences changed the way I looked at beauty.
I wasn't searching for another technique.
I was searching for a better philosophy.
That search led me back to Korea, where I discovered the principles behind KIIARA SUJI.
For the first time, permanent makeup wasn't about adding more pigment.
It was about understanding the skin, respecting its limits, and taking responsibility for results that remain for years.
That philosophy transformed the way I work.
Today, every appointment begins with the person—not the procedure.
Before discussing techniques, I take time to understand your facial structure, skin, lifestyle, daily routine, and the result you truly want.
Only then do we choose the right Beauty Direction and the technique that best supports it.
Over the years, I've learned that the greatest skill isn't creating more.
It's knowing when to do less.
When to preserve.
When to say no.
Because permanent makeup isn't about changing your face.
It's about creating harmony between your natural features, your lifestyle, and the way you want to be seen.
The greatest lesson from 13 years wasn't learning how to tattoo better.
Technique follows the person, not the other way around.

Why We Don't Use Just One Technique
KIIARA SUJI is a technique I learned in Korea.
It is an exceptionally delicate approach, developed around the skin characteristics, aesthetic preferences, and beauty philosophy of the Korean market.
Its soft, translucent finish creates beautiful results—but it isn't the right solution for everyone.
Today, I practice in Toronto, one of the world's most multicultural cities.
Every client is different.
Different skin.
Different contrast.
Different healing.
Different goals.
No single technique can create the best result for every person.
Some clients benefit from the softness of KIIARA SUJI.
Others achieve a better long-term result with machine techniques that provide greater definition, support higher natural contrast, or suit different skin characteristics.
At KIIARA, we don't believe in applying one signature technique to every face.
We choose the technique that best respects your skin, your features, and the result you want to achieve.
There is no "best" technique.
